Appointment of Mr Richard Aitken as a Director of TrustPower

The Board of TrustPower has appointed Mr Richard Aitken as a director of the Company effective today.Mr Aitken is presently Executive Chairman of Beca Group and has been with the Beca Group for over 40 years.
Mr Aitken holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) from Auckland University and a Master of Engineering Science from Sydney University. Mr Aitken has extensive engineering project management experience in major power and water infrastructure projects.
The Board considers that Mr Aitken’s civil engineering, project management and commercial skills will strongly complement the Board’s existing skill sets.
The Board considers Mr Aitken to be an Independent Director.
