10-TRIP TICKETS GET CLIPPED

19 November 2008

WELLINGTON BUS USERS HAVE JUST A FEW WEEKS TO USE UP THEIR 10-TRIP TICKETS OR TRADE THEM IN FOR A REFUND.

After December 1, Go Wellington buses will not accept 10-trip ticket but passengers will be able to collect a refund for the value left on any 10-trips they hold.

NZ Bus introduced an electronic payment card, Snapper, on its Go Wellington fleet in July.
At the time south region manager Zane Fulljames told passengers the 10-trip tickets would be phased out.

"This gave passengers a five month window in which to use any value remaining on their 10-trip ticket."

However, customers can use their 10-trips until December 1 or they can ask for a refund for the remaining value on their ticket.

Refund forms are available on the Go Wellington website or from any stores where tickets are sold, such as dairies.

Although 10-trip tickets are being phased out, adult customers will pay cash for a single fare or they can use a Snapper card, which must be loaded with money.

No changes are being made to child or senior 10-trip tickets until next year.
