Commerce Commission investigation of duty free concessions
27 March2008
Wellington International Airport Limited (WIAL) has received notification from the Commerce Commission that it is investigating the moves from having two duty free concessionaires to one at Wellington International Airport and Auckland International Airport, respectively.
WIAL believes that its move to a single duty free operator is to the benefit of international travellers and shoppers and there are no adverse Commerce Act implications.
WIAL will assist the Commerce Commission in its investigation.
